3 Pepper Burrito Company

Checked out 3 Pepper Burrito Company in downtown Sarasota today. Really delicious fresh food!!! Similar to Chipotle but better in my opinion. I had the soft tacos that come with a side of chips & salsa and added a cup of queso. Really delicious! My husband had the chicken burrito plate and said it was sooo good! We will definitely be back! 🌮🌯🌶👍

If ever in downtown, you must give it a try! They also cater events, office meetings and parties.

Pastry Art Bakery Cafe

Pastry Art Bakery Cafe in downtown Sarasota is a MUST try!!! We stumbled upon this cute lil bakery and sandwich shop today and it was amazing! For lunch we had the Mayan Turkey Sandwich which is smoked turkey, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and jalapeno dressing on a toasted kaiser roll. It was the best turkey sandwich we’ve ever had! Of course, you can’t go here and not try the pastries… We had the huge blueberry muffins, the cherry & apple turnovers (1 of each) and a chocolate croissant… All were delicious!!! This adorable lil spot also has all types of fresh ground coffee, homemade soups, salads, pennies and so much more. If ever on Main St, give this place a try! You won’t regret it! 👍

Pastries & Sweets

The Parrot Patio Bar and Grill

Tonight we gave this locals spot a try and was pleasantly surprised at how great it was! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

There’s nothing better on a hot summer evening than cold drinks. I had (2) mudslides. YES two.. because the first one was soooo delicious I had to have another! My husband had the Goose Island IPA which he really liked. For starters, we had the fried mozzarella which didn’t disappoint. I also tried a cup of the chicken corn chowder. I thought it had great flavor and was really good. (However, it did have a bit too many diced potatoes.) For dinner, my husband had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with fries that he said was off the charts good! I ordered the Shrimp and Grits. When my meal arrived I noticed there was a dark sauce in my grits. Upon tasting, I quickly realized the sauce was worcestershire sauce and unfortunately I didn’t like it with the grits. The menu didn’t mention this so I wasn’t aware when I ordered it. On a positive note, our waitress was amazing and quickly spoke to the chef who made another one without the worcestershire sauce. The next batch came out and was worth the wait. Much better! Overall, it was a great dining experience and I highly recommend it. The food and drinks were very good and the service was even better! We will be back for sure!

Sommers Dutch Family Restaurant!

This morning we gave Sommers Dutch Family Restaurant a try for breakfast and it was really good! I had the French toast with grits and bacon and my husband had the eggs with sausage and toast. They also offer a breakfast buffet if you prefer that over ordering off the menu. Everything is fresh, homemade and delicious! They are located in Sarasota on Cattleman in the shopping center by Bee Ridge Rd. They also serve lunch and dinner and are closed on Sunday. Give them a try!

Dry Dock Waterfront Grill

Today we tried Dry Dock Waterfront Grill based on a friends recommendation that this is her favorite restaurant out of all the restaurants in this area. The food is fresh and local! Dry Dock is hidden at the south end of Longboat Key at the Boathouse Marina, behind the gas station, north of St. Armand’s Circle, and just minutes from downtown Sarasota. Best known for its fresh Grouper meals, but is certainly just one of many delicious options, as well as for their panaramic views of the bay.

Today for lunch, I tried the Coconut Shrimp Salad which was one of the best salads I’ve ever eaten. The salad consists of mixed greens, fresh pineapples, strawberries, dried cranberries, glazed pecans and topped with large crispy coconut shrimp and served with really yummy pina colada dressing. I asked for extra dressing because it was so good! My husband had the Blackened Florida Gulf Red Grouper Sandwich on a brioche bun and served with creamy coleslaw. The sauce for the sandwich was spicy and delicious. Hands down one of the best grouper sandwiches around! The menu is a little pricey but worth it. The food and atmosphere is amazing! I highly recommend giving Dry Dock Waterfront Grill a try. https://geckosgrill.com/dry-dock-waterfront-grill/
